Early Childhood Program

All children are born with the ability to make music.  In order to reach their full potential, children must be immersed in a rich musical environment.  Early childhood music classes at the Ridgefield Suzuki School offer children and parents the opportunity to play, have fun and make music together, thus establishing a solid musical foundation.

If your child is younger than 5, we strongly recommend that you enroll your child in an Early Childhood class prior to starting formal music lessons.

Here at the Ridgefield Suzuki School we offer our Meet the Instruments class to introduce your child to the world of music.

Meet the Instruments

Designed to be a bridge from informal, play-based music instruction to the more formal instruction of private lessons, this class incorporates lots of singing, movement, and musical play while also introducing students and parents to the more structured environment of formal music instruction. Over the course of the semester, students will be introduced to the violin, viola, cello, piano, and flute, allowing the parent and child to ultimately choose which instrument to study.

We recommend this class for children 3.5 to 6 years of age.

Meet The Instruments is being offered in the winter and spring. Click here for more information and to register.
